Welcome to Dr. Bradley C. Parsons, PC. We are a friendly, service-driven eye care practice located in Iowa—serving the Cedar Rapids, Coralville, Dubuque, and Cedar Falls areas. Dr. BRADLEY C. PARSONS, PC
Dr. Parsons is from small-town Iowa where hard work, courtesy, and respect are fostered from a young age. After graduating from high school he attended Coe College obtaining a B.A. in Biology. He lettered in football and track for four years winning conference championships in both sports. Dr. Parsons obtained his Doctor of Optometry from Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. An avid sports fan he enjoys coaching his daughter's sports teams, watching and attending events.​
Dr. Stephanie schaefer
Dr. Stephanie Schaefer provides a comprehensive eye health assessment and a personalized consultation for every patient. She is residency trained and has 15 years of experience. Dr. Schaefer practices full-scope optometry with a completely digital office and state-of-the-art instrumentation. She specializes in fitting contact lenses and managing ocular disease. Our staff is comprised of certified technicians and opticians and we strive to provide the highest quality exam in the area 7 days a week.
Dr. TRessa Larson
Dr. Larson attended Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University and was awarded a citation for Clinical Excellence along with a bachelor's degree in Vision Science and an OD degree in Optometry in 2010. She completed her residency at Salus in Primary Eye Care with a heavy emphasis on ocular disease. Dr. Larson worked in private practice as a contact lens specialist and general eye care provider for three years in Northern Virginia before accepting a faculty position at the University of Iowa as a medical contact lens and dry eye specialist. Following the completion of her contract with the university, Dr. Larson joined Dr. Bradley C Parsons in private practice once more.
Dr. LAURA KAIN
Dr. Kain was born and raised in Fort Dodge, IA, and attended Iowa State University majoring in Biology. She attended the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA, graduating in 1997. She practiced in Boston before moving to Colorado and eventually moving back home to Iowa in 2001. She opened Kain Family Eye Care and served the area for 14 years before a brief departure led her family back to Colorado. Dr. Kain enjoys helping patients with dry eyes and managing diabetes-related eye disease.
Dr. Allison Gruwell
Dr. Allison Gruwell is the newest doctor to join our team! She is originally from Cedar Rapids and completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. She obtained her Doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University’s College of Optometry. Marion is now home and she enjoys being back in Iowa near family and friends. Dr. Gruwell provides full scope medical eye care and has special interests in ocular dermatology and aesthetics, dry eye management, post-surgical care, and contact lenses. She is certified to perform injections such as Botox as well as minor surgical procedures for removal of benign lesions around the eye and orbit.
